Farmers or food processors interested in selling at our markets (and non-profit organizations):

Contact the MFM in early winter to recieve an application for the coming new year. In order for both farmers and farmers markets to plan ahead for a good season, most market spaces are filled by early March, but there are sometimes wait-lists or additions later in the season. When you contact us, please provide us with detailed information about your farm and products so that we may better help you. Note also that we do get dozens of requests each season from food processors who wish to sell at our markets, but our space for these products is very limited, and we are primarily interested in products made from local farm ingredients. Due to a lease agreement, Middlebury Farmer’s Market is not allowed to have vendors that sell hot food. The Middlebury Farmers Market will, as a service to the community, allow space for Addison County Non-Profit organizations of a non-political, non-partisan, non-sectarian (wording from Article 1, Section 4 of By-Laws) nature. These organizations will only be allowed to distribute information, no sales, donations or raffles will take place. The space will be limited to once per season, one organization per market and only if space permits as determined by the Market Coordinator. If there is any doubt as to the non-profit status of the organization the Market Coordinator has the authority to request a 501(c)(3) IRS notice.

Musicians and other entertainers interested in playing at our markets:
Contact the MFM and preferably provide us with a sound sample or link. We love all kinds of music, especially upbeat and family friendly. We have several guidelines to keep in mind: music is kept at a low volume so as not to interfere with market conversationsand sales. Performers play for tips only; the markets do not provide any equipment other than a canopy to play under and a scheduled time/date for you to play.

The 2012 applications will be available online April 1, 2012
